The land of Moldova which has a varied and picturesque relief with the Eastern Carpathians and hilly regions washed by rivers with their wonderful valleys and rich flora, is an important area of tourist attraction consisting in watering places, different natural landscapes, historic and art monuments, memorial houses.

The Ceahlau national park with a surface of 5,200 ha, the Gosman forest reservation with beech and coniferous trees which are 120-250 years old, as well as the two reservations situated between Agapia and Varatec which are named "Copper Forests" and "Silver Forest" by Romanian national poet Mihai Eminescu, being fairy-like places for visitors.

One of the main points of tourist interest are Slanic Moldova well-known both home and abroad thanks to its special therapeutically elements as well as to its picturesque landscape being named the Pearl of Moldavia. The table bicarbonate, chlorosoda, lightly sulphumus, non-thermal waters are used to cure the digestive. liver-biliary, breathing, metabolic and nutrition, urogenital as well as the degenerative rheumatismal, cardiovascular endocrine, gynecological diseases as connected diseases, neurasthenia and the occupational diseases.

Valuable historic and art monuments as ancient fortresses, churches, museums and monasteries are important attractions in Moldova. Among them we have to mention the Agapia Monastery, known thanks to its carpet and embroidery workshops.

The impressive cultural and artistic patrimony, its folk and ethnographic treasure, natural reservations and famous vineyards as Cotnari, Nicoresti, Panciu (and their wines) from here helped the development of an efficient tourism.
